The pelvis is the centre of our body - and yet it's often one of the most neglected and restricted areas. We sit on it for hours, tighten around it under stress, and rarely give it the freedom of movement it was designed for. Over time, this can create a chain of tension that travels upward into the lower back and spine, and downward into the hips, knees, and legs.
In this 2.5-hour Feldenkrais workshop, we'll explore gentle, mindful movements to help you release unnecessary holding in the pelvis and hips, restore their natural mobility, and experience how this newfound freedom can transform the way your whole body moves.
In this workshop, you will:
-
Explore how the pelvis and hips connect to your entire body organisation - and how restrictions here affect your back, posture, and ease of movement
-
Learn gentle, effective movements to soften tightness, ease stiffness, and awaken new ranges of motion in your hips and pelvis
-
Experience how a freer pelvis supports better breathing, a more comfortable lower back, and a lighter, more effortless way of walking and moving
As you explore yourself in movement during this Feldenkrais practice, you'll calm down your nervous system, expand your movement capabilities, and start rewiring old habits that might be keeping you stuck in tension. You'll experience how subtle, simple movements can lead to profound changes, starting right where you are.

This workshop is open to anyone looking for a holistic, non-invasive way to ease tension and improve quality of life, no matter the level of your fitness, age or physical limitations. It is particularly beneficial for those experiencing lower back pain, hip stiffness, sciatica, or discomfort while sitting, walking, or climbing stairs. No prior experience with Feldenkrais is needed.
The only prerequisite is for you to be able to lower yourself down to the floor and stand back up, either independently or with the support of something to lean on.

What shall I bring?
-
Warm comfortable clothes and warm socks
-
A towel or a blanket to cover the mat with (if you prefer to use yours)
Price: 75 EUR per person. Limited to a maximum of 8 participants.
